Contact form. When you write to us, we collect your name, email, subject and message, along with the language and the date it was sent. We use this data only to reply to your request.

Usage statistics. We count page views and clicks on external links such as WhatsApp, email, phone, Booking.com and TripAdvisor, to understand what is useful on the site. To tell one visit from the next, the site keeps an anonymous marker in the browser tab that lasts only for the session. We use no cookies and store neither your IP address nor any identifier.

Site language. If you choose Portuguese, English or Spanish, we store that preference in a technical cookie so we can greet you in the right language on your next visit.

Google Map. The map on the contact page is loaded only after you click “Load map”. Until then, no request is made to Google.

Replying to messages: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in replying to those who contact us.

Anonymous statistics and security: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and protecting it from abuse. IP addresses are used only transiently, to limit repeated requests, and are not stored.

Language cookie: strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for. Google Map: consent, given by clicking “Load map”.

This site uses only one cookie and two session storage entries, all technical. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics cookies or social media pixels.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the language cookie the site still works, but it may not remember your choice.

We do not sell or give your data to third parties. We use providers that process data on our behalf and only for the purposes described: an email delivery service (Resend), to deliver form messages to us, and Google, for the map, when you load it.

Form messages are stored in our database, accessible only to authorised people.

Sending notification emails and loading the Google map may involve processing data in the United States. These providers rely on transfer mechanisms recognised by the European Commission. The map is loaded only with your consent.

Form messages are kept for up to 12 months after the last contact, so we can follow up on your request, and are then deleted.

Anonymous statistics are kept for up to 24 months. The language cookie lasts one year and map consent exists only for the browser session.

You have the right to access your data, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to its processing and receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw map consent at any time simply by reloading the page without clicking “Load map”.

To exercise any of these rights, write to ola@calmadalentejo.pt. We will reply within 30 days.

If you believe your data is not being processed in accordance with the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD) at www.cnpd.pt.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the data you entrust to us, including restricted access and secure connections.

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site or to the law. The date at the top of the page always indicates the version in force.
